COURSE OBJECTIVES

DAYS 1 & 2 – ORAL SURGERY FOR THE GENERAL DENTIST

• Faster, more predictable surgical extractions
• Remove teeth broken down at or below the bone level
• Learn how to preserve the buccal plate without slowing down
• Most of the things he teaches can be put to use the next week
• Avoid and/or manage complications with bleeding, infection, pain, swelling, root tips, taking too long, etc.
• Better and faster sutures and simple flaps
• Ridge grooming: alveoplasty, exostoses and canine eminence removal
• Easy and effective socket bone grafts
• 3rd molar impactions in young people
• Incision and drainage, excisional biopsies
• Know how to avoid problems with the sinus
• No more tuberosity fractures
• Many video clips of surgical techniques

DAY 3 – WILL EMPHASIZE IMPLANT SURGERY

This full day didactic and model hands-on presentation will serve as an introduction to surgical principles of dental implantology. Case selection criteria and treatment planning evaluations will be addressed to optimize clinical outcomes. Detailed surgical principles will be addressed avoid complications and failures during surgical phase of implant placements.
